Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden Plant Sale

I will be one of the plant vendors at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s ‘Free Sundays in August’  promotion.  I will have plants for sale August 12th, 19th, and 26th.  Admission is free to everyone on those days, so come on over and enjoy the garden and say hello.  Hopefully we will have a plant you are interested in.

A light rain but not much more

Today is Saturday July 7, 2012. We had a light rain sprinkle for a minute or two this morning, which was enough to wet down the dust. Not enough to provide a good drink for the plants and trees. I toured the nursery and grove this morning and found many wonderful blooms. We have uploaded…

Black Jade Vine (Mucuna nigricans)

This is a beautiful flowering vine; it blooms within the first year of planting. It is slightly cold sensitive and a very fast grower.
